1. What is the best approach to eating?
Factors that affect the digestion of our food are:
1. What we eat.
2. How we eat it.
3. Food combining.
4. State of mind and emotions.
5. Chewing properly.
Our state of mind and emotional balance determine the extent to which we digest food. Our thoughts when we sit down to eat have a fundamental effect on our digestion and the juices generated by our thoughts determine how thoroughly the food is broken down in the stomach and assimilated. It is important therefore to ensure that your state of mind at mealtimes is conducive to digestion.
When sitting down to eat, ensure firstly that you are actually hungry and not simply proposing to eat because it is a certain time of day. Next, meditate, or put yourself into a relaxed state of being that will facilitate food intake. Make sure you chew your food thoroughly. There is a saying that goes: "Drink your food and eat your drink".
There are books on this site on Food Combining, a very important subject when it comes to food chemistry in our bodies and can be a great help in avoiding many diseases that result in bad food combinations.

2. What's the best thing for a minor burn?
If you've burnt yourself whilst cooking for example, the best thing is to put the affected area under cold water and then apply some toothpaste on the burn to cool it down. This will almost immediately relieve the pain. If you're worried about scarring, then apply honey directly on the burn and then wrap it with a soft cloth for wounds.

3. What's the best way to relieve constipation?
See "Constipation" under the Common Ailments section on this website. But basically you need to find out why you're constipated. Eating 1kg of prunes soaked in warm water while drinking warm water at the same time will usually result in movement almost immediately. Drinking a lot of water also helps keep our systems flowing, as does mixing psyllium husks with water and drinking it twice a day. See "Product Recommendations" under the section on Constipation.

4. Why do we catch colds?
The common cold or flu is a viral disease that is contagious from other people. However, whenever we catch a cold, it is mainly due to our systems being overloaded with toxins, and it is our body's way of relieving these toxins and cleansing them out of our system. You will notice that when you have a cold, quite often, you are also constipated alongside it. A colonic can help with clearing the colon from toxic waste, but also a juice and liquid fast will help relieve a cold quicker than anything else. Our immune systems are ususally down in these cases due to stress and worry, and you'll find that you are more likely to catch a cold when you're under pressure. Slowing down, meditating and giving yourself some tlc helps.
